Bike Tour Around Mount Sh
This is a page to show some of the mushrooms we are fortunate to collect and eat.

Morels growing in the front yard around mid-May 2009 - hard guys to see.

Results of foraging in the woods nearby on May 29, 2009.  Two King Boletes, one Puffball, and 4 Morels.

A large boletus regius from the yard harvested on 6/2/09.  This is about the 10th harvested so far.  They are the best tasting mushroom.  We have eaten them with halibut, shrimp, hamburgers, cube steak, and by themselves.  Outstanding anyway we cook them.  They are our favorite.

Two more boletus regius today, 6/3/09, but, I was bummed a little when I found 7 that were two far gone.  This variety continues to come up during June and I harvested another one today (6/11/09).  I have enough dried to last me through until next spring already.
